UCS Solutions provides end-to-end IT related services and solutions to a number of the large retailers in South Africa, the Middle East, Northern Africa and the UK.
Our core services & solution offering has centered around SAP. Due to SAP having recently acquired Hybris (an enterprise multi-channel e-commerce and product content management software) we saw an opportunity to create an experienced e-commerce team that could develop omni-channel commerce solutions for traditional retailers running SAP enterprise systems as their back-office.
Based out of our Cape Town office in Newlands, our Hybris Department is one of the most rapidly growing units within the UCS family.
Since joining UCS Solutions in mid-2015, the team have delivered a full-featured commerce implementation for Builders Warehouse based on the Hybris B2B accelerator, and we are currently re-platforming Pick n Pay online shopping based on the Hybris B2C accelerator.
Methodology & tools
We run Agile / Scrum. Our sprints are typically two or three weeks long, depending on client location. We use the Atlassian suite, including Jira, Confluence, Bamboo & Bitbucket, and IntelliJ or Eclipse as IDE.

Our Hiring Process:
We usually conduct 1 x panel interview where you will meet the Executive, Team Lead, Solution Architect and a HR representative. This is a competency based interview where you will be asked general behavioral questions and technical questions to gauge your level of experience and understanding. This allows us to evaluate which role/project you will best be suited to.
