truckoo - streamlining the commercial vehicle trade - from vans to heavy trucks. Our aim is to digitally shape the trade of heavy duty vehicles and construction equipment - digital, transparent, and reliable. We are a tech company based in Munich - founded in 2019.

The Development team is fully distributed team all over the globe. We truly try to achieve the highest organizational intelligence by relying on the channel of communication that fits best for our engineers. We try guide and mentor everyone at the company while getting out of the way when problems have to be solved and solution are thought of. We rely on ownership and responsibility for the work we do. We are patient and stay calm, even if shit hits the fan.

In the development of our services we grant our engineers a high degree of freedom to chose whatever tooling they like and need.

Our Engineering Processes

We have a microservice-based polyglot cloud-native tech-stack that relies heavily on Google-Cloud functionality. Coud-Run for Docker-Containers and Cloud-Functions in Python, Go and Node act as Backends for our Next.js and React-Native frontends. The persistence layer is based on a hosted MongoDB instance.

We are developing in a very agile way, more following a Kanban style of project-management. Although we enjoy working in Sprints and Spikes if it makes sens for a certain project, but with a heavily adapted version on how to organize the project.

Our Hiring Process

1. First video-call to get to know each other and see whether we might be a good fit. This won't be very technical and is a one-on-one conversation between us that should not take more than 30 minutes.
2. A coding assignment that you can finish at your leisure without pressure, we can discuss this further in our first call. The assignment shouldn't take you more than one or two evenings.
3. Second video-call with me to discuss the result of the coding-assignment.
4. Additional video-calls with other team members from the business side, so you can get a better impression of our company and team.
5. Lastly a final wrap up finalizing terms and conditions.
