What we do
ThinkMoney was founded in 2007 and became part of the VentureCapitalWorks group of companies in 2009. We are an online financial services and related products retailer generating leads for major financial services companies across South Africa. Over the years ThinkMoney has specialised in personal loans, insurance and advertising related services.
We are looking to bring aspects of our development in-house and therefore the required candidate will be starting up the technology division and will be responsible for both daily tasks that need to be performed and the technology strategy going forward. The candidate should be someone that can take charge as they will be the driving force in the technology side of the business.
The various skills that are required include working with and managing databases with large quantities of data, setting up clients integrations, managing/ improving /changing the current CRM system and assisting other team members with development and technological requirements. We are currently redesigning our website and have various other projects on the go that rely on technological development or support.
ThinkMoney is an entrepreneurial environment, therefore someone that is driven by creativity, idea generation and problem solving would the ideal person for this position. The business focuses on outputs and is open to investing in various opportunities, providing an enabling environment that has plenty of room for growth.
ThinkMoney consists of a small team that work closely together, with each individual having a specific focus in the business but also working together to arrive at the optimal business solution. Involvement in the business can therefore happen on various levels.
Our Hiring Process
The hiring process consists of an interview to start. Should the person be interested and seen as a suitable applicant the next step is to do a Kolbe profile assessment. This assessment evaluates a persons's intuitive or instinctual way of solving a problem. The assessment is done to give an indication of how this person fits into the team and where their strengths lie. The candidate will then be required to complete a task to evaluate their technical skill and competence.
We also believe in having fun and therefore organise various activities throughout the year, including birthday lunches, celebrating important occasions or a fun day out the office.
