Our solutions allow customers such as AXA, Generali, Aflac, Telekom, or DATEV, to integrate resilient Barcode Scanning, Document Scanning, or Data Extraction features inside of their mobile apps or websites.

Our Culture

Here at Scanbot, we are about 60 employees and more than 20 nationalities - a very diverse, multicultural team. We supported our international staff with the relocation and visa process, etc. So we are all located in Bonn in our office. This is the reason why our main language is English in the office. We are open-minded and live the open feedback culture. There is no dresscode – So come as you are! Besides that, we have a lot of fun at work and also like After-work get-togethers and team events.

Our Engineering Processes

Core team By combining state-of-the-art Machine Learning and Computer Vision technologies, every new feature development starts at the Core. Our ML models push GPU cloud instances to their absolute limit while the team transforms R&D Python code to integration-ready C++.

Android team Coping with the challenges of Android development in terms of a vast variety of possible devices and OS version combinations, the Android team is building new features and is integrating the Core code as well as the ML models within the world of Android development. Ultimately, this results in state-of-the-art native Android APIs used by our global customer base.

iOS team Like the Android team, the iOS team is building new features and is integrating the Core code and ML models into the iOS landscape. Herewith, the team ensures compatibility across different iOS devices and versions, ultimately building a production-ready iOS SDK, providing enterprise customers with modern APIs around mobile data capture.

Cross-Platform team The world of development platforms gets broader day by day. Our Cross-Platform team hereby challenges the status quo for mobile data capture in cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, Xamarin, or Cordova. Using our native Android & iOS SDKs as a baseline, they build reliable and robust solutions not only for mobile, but also for web development.

QA / CI & CD team Our last line of defense. The QA / CI & CD team ensures that all of our product releases are flawless to match our high standards in product development and delight our enterprise clients. This is highlighted even further, as the team is also responsible for Customer Support.

Our Hiring Process

The first step is a video call via Zoom with the recruiter and with the respective department lead so that you can get to know each other. On this call, we would love to learn more about your motivation, your professional qualifications, your values, your personality, and your career so far. Of course, there will also be plenty of time for you to ask questions and learn more about us.

This is followed by a small but fun test project. As soon as you are ready, you will present your test project to our CTO and the respective team lead.

The final step is a short interview with Christoph, our CEO. He, too, would like to get to know you before you join us. This also gives you a chance to ask all the questions that have not been answered yet. If we are mutually convinced that we have a match, we will send over the employment contract – and start preparing a warm welcome!
