What we do

Salt Employee Benefits offers affordable and smart employee benefit solutions to discerning trustees, while members can look forward to a responsive and pleasant experience.

Why Salt EB?

  • Our fund administration is agile and smart, meeting today’s needs and catering for tomorrow’s requirements.
  • We manage arrangements with multiple providers and benefit structures and collect from multiple pay-points, presenting one point of contact.
  • Trustees enjoy access to the Salt EB executive, making it easy to do business with us.

Our Employee Benefits edge lies in customising employee benefit solutions. It is our success in benefit structure design and cost optimisation that differentiate us.

Salt Employee Benefits has been part of South Africa’s financial services sector since 1953 when it was first established as Hoskens Pensions & Life Brokers. In 1987, Hoskens purchased Majix – a legacy based administration system which was a pioneer in its time.

The Thebe Investment Corporation, the oldest black-owned investment holding company in South Africa, purchased the company in 1994, becoming Thebe Employee Benefits.

Salt Employee Benefits emerged in 2012 when Salt Invest purchased Thebe Employee Benefits.
All told, the company has a long and proud history of providing outstanding solutions to the South African financial services industry. Driven by innovation, our benefit structure and cost savings have been thoroughly tried and tested.
