PMD is a direct marketing financial services business focussed on personal lines products in the motor and health insurance markets.
Launched in 2009, PMD is part of a wider financial services group that was first established in 2002 by Dr Brian Benfield - who is the founder of Clientele Life Limited (listed on the JSE). Dr Benfield currently plays a non-executive role in the group.
PMD's mission is to restore faith in the Financial Services industry.
PMD started with successfully innovated a range of motor insurance products aimed at giving clients cover who normally could not afford insurance.
PMD has moved into the comprehensive motor insurance space and we are growing as a brand and as a company! Our strategy is to become obsessed with our clients and provide them with insurance that works for them and what they need!

PMD has grown significantly over the past 9 years from +/- 30 people to now close to 300 with a policyholder book to match! As we have grown there has been more and more of a need to provide great analytical insight into the performance of the company and its operations.
We are building a team that can supply accurate, detailed, user friendly and applicable business insight to all areas of the business. This ranges from descriptive type reporting that highlights "what happened" to predictive type analytics that help direct stakeholders to the next value add!!
We aim to achieve this through adopting DataOps principles (Agile, DevOps & Lean Manufacturing), seeing our outputs as data products for the company
