UK-based AgrigateOne was launched in 2019 with the goal of digitising the fresh produce supply chain. The company accomplishes this by aggregating data from disparate software systems into a cloud-based platform, giving fresh produce growers and buyers access to real-time data from any country around the world.

Our base client is a software business based in London called AgrigateOne. AgrigateOne is an agricultural software company building solutions to optimise the value chain, while offering a business-to-business service. Our commerce platform connects buyers and growers with high quality fresh produce, creates visibility along the supply chain, and aggregates all data and communications onto a single platform.

Software Developer - Overall mission of the job

We're looking for developers to join our team in helping build out a SaaS platform for the agricultural sector. We're a small start-up in the AgTech sector with a fully remote software development team, working across South Africa. Our offices are located in Stellenbosch and Johannesburg with an office optional and flexi-hours work policy.

We are looking for experienced candidates that are pragmatic and enjoy seeing their creations bring tangible value to people.

Our team are all full stack and you can expect to be given the necessary support that will allow you to work on all parts of our platform...front-end, back-end, desktop clients, infrastructure, design, R&D, security. We don't hire for specific skills, language or library knowledge; but rather for sharp people that loves software and problem solving.

Data Associate - Overall mission of the job

The role of the AgrigateOne (AG1) data associate is to synthesize strategies for our clients (growers and buyers) by leveraging sound data management principles. By conducting experiments / doing research / analyzing the data harnessed by the AG1 platform (as well as external data sources), the data associate should be able to highlight market insights, generate key reports and design functional requirements that meet clients’ needs. Preferably, the ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the business domain (logistics in the agriculture space - although this is not a deal-breaker), be familiar with data consumption tools and strategies (BI tools and techniques, front-end development) and be passionate about using data to inform evidence-based decision-making.
