What we do
OneDayOnly hold the esteemed title of being South Africa's original daily deals website. Our deals offer excellent discounts, limited supply and are on sale for one day only (hence our uber-creative name). We partner with top brands and key suppliers to able to offer their products to hundreds of thousands of potential customers through our daily mailer, the website itself and social media marketing.
Provided the quality and price is right, we'll sell anything - and that's exactly what makes us so appealing to both buyer and seller. Couple this with the urgency of the deal and it creates a winning formula for a high number of sales in a very short space of time.
This website doesn't run itself: we employ about 150 highly varied human beings to sell things, buy things, process things, answer emails, repair things and work on our website. And that last one is important because, without that website, we don't exist as a company. Like Uber without owning cars or AirBnB without real estate. Tss.
Why Work For Us
You'll have the unique opportunity to help a rapidly growing business get to the next level using cutting-edge technology like computers and printers. We're about to make a big move towards much higher-tech platforms than we are on currently.
We're dedicated, yet laid back while at the same time maintaining a culture of professionalism. "Fun" is allowed to be had between 13:00 and 13:15.
At times, things get a little crazy, and not always in a good way. That's usually a result of the startup vibe we're still very much on. This is something we're trying to change, but we have also learned that it is hard to change.
Our Engineering Processes
Our engineering processes are developing as we speak. Very exciting. "No more FTP, soon" pretty much sums it up.
Seriously though, we are in the middle of a pretty massive transition from a system MacGuyver would be proud of to a brand new cutting edge platform that should win us SA's "most advanced online shop" award if there was such an award. That should excite you.
Our Hiring Process
If you look promising, we'll probably have you in for two or three interviews and a little skills test. The interviews are usually with one of the directors and one of your potential future colleagues.
