What we do
Mercedes-Benz IT Hub, South Africa was established in April 2019 at the East London Plant, the IT Hub is an extension of the Mercedes-Benz car (MBC) operations division responsible for providing the global Mercedes-Benz’s manufacturing plants with Information Technology (IT) applications specialising in the manufacturing operations for Production, Supply Chain and Maintenance services.
The establishment of an IT Hub in East London recognises the plant as part of Mercedes-Benz’s global multi-hub concept to digitalise manufacturing operations, broaden IT competence and production know-how.
Since 2022, we have established an IT Hub office situated in Menlyn, Pretoria. This enables us to grow our local footprint and to increase our utilization of the South African IT talent and skills.
The IT Hub also offers work flexibility for its employees through various working models such as hybrid or full remote work.
The MBSA IT Hub currently employs over 150 specialists consisting of a mix of graduates and professional experts within the Data Science, Software Development, Solution Architects and Business Analyst fields.
