What we do

iono.fm is an online audio platform. We provide radio live-streaming, podcasting and advertising technology and services to radio stations and podcasters.

Our clients include some of the largest radio stations and podcasters in SA.

Our platform stores and delivers terabytes of audio data every month, and demands both high reliability and performance.

Our Culture

We're a small company with a very relaxed environment.

We use a Trello based Kanban process to drive our software engineering. We don't believe in crazy deadlines or overtime, but rather focus on delivering quality features when they are ready.

Our developers work on Macs using primarily Sublime Text, SourceTree and a development VM.

Hiring Process

As first step in our hiring process we ask applicants to complete a short questionnaire to get a better feel for their skill-level and interests. After that we do an in person interview of around an hour to get a feel for personality and culture fit. Finally we may do a follow up interview to with a few pseudo-code exercises.
