Go2Africa is launching a full-service platform into the tourism industry. The new business forms part of the Go2Africa stable but is a standalone business to be known as Bazaruto.
The platform will allow independent agents and SMEs to create logistically complex holidays in sub-Saharan Africa. Bazaruto’s capability includes seamless checking of both price and accommodation availability; managing and delivering a responsive itinerary, and handling supplier interfaces.
We're a team of 7 (5 devs, 2 analysts) and follow a Kanban inspired process, releasing as stories are completed. We're big on quality, have a culture of code reviews and extensive test coverage.
Our technology stack is varied, and we use the best tool for the job. We use Ruby for the backend, and React for the more complex front end.
We plan to have our first release ready early in 2017 and have a long list of interesting things to build after that.
Our hiring process
Ben (Head of Dev) and Neil (Team Lead) will review your cv and if we're keen we'll meet for 45 minutes. This is a get to know each other session. If we get along, we generally do a 90 minute peer programming session. If that goes well we'll make an offer.
