What we do

GetBackd, originally Cash Flow Capital, is an online business lender that was founded by two brother in Pretoria, South Africa. Since then, the business has raised over R1 billion from private equity funds, venture capital funds, high net worth individuals and hedge funds. In 2019 the business moved its headquarters to Austin, Texas. Currently, the business is expanding its operations from providing working capital to small businesses to blockchain technology, payment technology and business banking.

Our Culture

Our view is that there is a time for work and a time for play which is characterised by us having bar instead of a reception desk and a ping pong table in the middle of the offices as place for employees to take a break and recoup before heading back to helping small businesses develop. We have a different view to the traditional office setting where each department is segregated, we all mix together with the aim of assisting each other in delivering the best possible service to our customers.

Our Engineering Processes

As our business develops, so do the systems we use. The candidate will assist in the development of our current system with the long-term goal of managing and developing the system further in-house.

Our Hiring Process

We strive to hire exceptional candidates so our process requires three interviews. The first is an online introduction where we asses skill level, personality, work ethic, etc. The second is an online culture-fit interview with the US team. We use this interview to tell a candidate about our company and culture and use the opportunity to get to know the candidate. The third is a day with our SA team in our offices in Menlyn, Pretoria. The day consists of meeting the team, a technical test that challenges your programming ability and lunch with the team.
