We are Flat Circle

A mobile software company based in Loop Street, Cape Town.

We have been building award winning apps for local and international clients since April 2014.

By cultivating ardent relationships with our customers, we have been part of successful projects with international acclaim. Our approach to development stems from 10 years of experience in the industry and a culture of providing paramount value.

Joining our team

Most of our team have spent time in corporate companies and we’ve explicitly set out to oppose corporate culture at Flat Circle. When you join our tight-knit creative team your individual value is well recognised and awarded.

Our inclusive culture is meant to mentor inexperienced members and learn as much as possible from our veterans. We are exceptionally open to ideas that influence not only development, but company processes as a whole.

Our highly selective projects have given us the opportunity to work on new technologies including, IoT, Virtual Reality, Custom hardware integrations, Music & Radio streaming and many more.

As well as client work, we are also involved with in-house Virtual Reality projects that we are very excited to bring to market in the near future.

Our vibrant office on Long street reflects our passion for creativity in everything we do.

We are looking for

• iOS and Android developers with at least 1 year of work experience.
• Unity experience is an added bonus.

Our Hiring Process

We arrange an interview at our office in Long street, Cape Town, or a video conference if you're not based in Cape Town.

You will meet the team and be interviewed by one or more of the founders. We will discuss your work history and technical knowledge to determine if we're aligned technically and culturally.

We will follow up with an unanswerable curve-ball question that has no purpose like, how many golf balls can fit inside an elephant? (No... no we won't)

If you are keen to join after meeting us and we are interested in you, we will provide you with a small take-home project that shouldn't take more than 2 hours to complete. We will then review your problem solving methodology and general code quality before making a final decision.
