We’re creating the future of renting, right here in Cape Town, South Africa. Renting is more about a people than property and set out to bring powerful software-enabled solutions to our customers in a beautifully designed and push-button simple way. Some people call us the Airbnb of renting.

What you'll be building

Our goal is simple, build the best software that our customers will ever use - make it simple, fast, beautiful and indestructible. Our products include rental payments / processing and property management, sophisticated consumer screening (VIP) and a marketplace (Ekaya.com). Our journey is to move from platform to an ecosystem that serves people all over the world.

Development process

Sometimes the whole engineering team works together, other times we break into smaller groups to tackle the problems. We utilise lean methodology without religious fervour. In other words, we plan and execute in two-week sprints but keep it flat, collaborative and agile.

Opportunities for learning & growth

This is a startup, you'll be exposed to the widest possible spectrum of experiences and gain insight into what it takes to build, maintain and grow a product, business, team etc. How much grow and how far you go is completely up to you, we invest in great people - deeply.

Your interview process

We keep it chilled. Normally we meet for coffee near our offices in Newlands, we we try and get a feel for who you are and your journey. Afterwards, we take you for a tour around the space to meet some of the people you'll be working with. Next, we make sure we get on the same page in terms of remuneration and timing expectations. Finally, we do due diligence, which may include testing and problem solving exercises or something similar, depending on your role. If everyone's happy, we make you a written offer and off we go.
