Summary
Why we exist
We look to help other companies understand what is being said about them online - and why - so they can close the gap between what they promise and what the public experience. Using a unique blend of AI and human intelligence, we filter the noise of unstructured feedback for the conversation that’s high risk, high value or urgent.
Our proprietary prioritisation method enables real-time mitigation of risk, improved retention and acquisition rates, and superior customer experience. We are a world-leader with a unique product.
Why build a career with us?
You'll get to write software that analyses, stores and visualise information from the seemingly chaotic mass of online and social data (think millions of Tweets, Facebook posts, blog and news posts, print media etc.) It'll be challenging and fulfilling.
We have many back-end services communicating with each other and front-end applications to make it all happen. If you are into the ever-shifting world of JavaScript, HTML and CSS (or not!), get excited by the promise of deep-learning and AI, enjoy building quality software that scales, you'd enjoy it here. A core part of our technology involves using software to manage humans to achieve consensus and accurate data (sort of a human blockchain!).
Our culture
We pride ourselves on getting from a business idea or a solution to a problem to a quality working system in production quickly with as little overhead as possible. "Move fast and break things" with less of the "break things" part. We are a small team and need our services to run reliably so we can continue to get things done.
Our engineering processes
We work in small teams (1-3 developers) on short projects deployed to production very frequently. Teams do their own deployments and the ethos is to do small bits of work and deploy them as soon as possible. Everyone takes responsibility for getting what they are working on into production. If its not live, it's not done - you are QA!
We use short daily Teams standups to keep everyone aware of what is being worked on and how things are going.
Projects are selected based on the overall company strategy and direction. The engineering team is responsible for figuring out how best to achieve the broader company goals (what do we need to build, how will the solution work etc.).
Our hiring process
1-2 technical interviews with the Senior Devs, and a chance to meet the team over Teams - it's just as important for you to like them!
