About Alpha International

What we do

Alpha International is the global non-profit Christian charity responsible for the Alpha Course. Millions of people have tried Alpha in 169 countries, and it has been translated into 112 different languages. We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore faith, ask questions and share their point of view; wherever they are in the world!

Our digital department is responsible for the creation of several world-class software products that help churches engage with their communities across a variety of technical stacks. Our technical team make-up currently consists of Software Engineers, QA Engineers, and Infrastructure engineers, embedded on Product teams led by a Product Manager, with a variety of modern tech stack choices. We are hiring across these teams.

Alpha is an exciting and challenging place to work, where innovation, initiative, and creativity are encouraged – and where you can grow in your chosen career, or even find a new one. Our globally distributed product teams are small but growing fast and our development processes are maturing constantly. We are adopting agile scrum processes and use Jira and Azure Devops to manage day-to-day prints. All of our team works remotely and our product teams hold daily stand-ups to make sure that everyone feels connected and has everything they need to succeed.

Our Hiring Process

The first step in our hiring process is an informal conversation with our Head of Engineering to make sure that we're a good fit for each other.

We'll then have a more structured technical conversation.
