Summary

What we do

We built 22seven because we think there's a new solution to an old problem.

The old problem is our relationship with money. We all have regrets about things we did, or didn’t do, or don’t think we’ll be able to do, with money. Money feels limiting when it could be liberating.

The new solution lies in what we know and have now that we didn’t know or have a few years ago. Thanks to new insights in psychology, we know more about how people think and behave with money, and why. Thanks to new technology, we have tools to do things in radically different ways.

Using these new insights and smart technology, 22seven can help people do better with their money. To see new things about it, feel more confident about it, find more of it, use it wiser and grow it smarter.

Nobody’s job here is just a job.

We don’t simply come to work at 22seven. We come to do beautiful, epic, awe-inspiring work. More than that, we want our work to contribute something positive to the world.

Our HQ is in one of the oldest theatres in South Africa, right in the middle of the Cape Town City Bowl. Imagine if you smashed a temple of amazingness into a really comfortable lounge with great art on the walls. That still wouldn’t be as awesome as our offices. Needless to say, anyone who wants to work with us should be in Cape Town, or plan to be.

Our Engineering Processes

We follow a scrum methodology in conjunction with our four development tenets:

  1. We pair
  2. We solve
  3. We ship
  4. We evolve

Our Hiring Process

We normally do an in-person interview and, if possible, have candidates spend some time in our office to ensure we share culture and values.
