IDS is a South African company, designing and manufacturing electronic security systems for the African and global market. We sell our products through an extensive network of branches and distributors around South Africa, on the African continent, and further afield in Europe, Asia, and Australia. IDS is a household brand that has been protecting families and businesses for 30 years.

Our Engineering Processes
We follow a well defined gateway process when designing hardware, and a more agile less defined process when developing apps and software. We use Jira to manage tasks through the process.
Our Hiring Process
This is what you can expect when interviewing with us.
Our interview process has the following stages:
- An initial interview will be conducted by our CTO and HR manager using Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams.
- You may be required to share your GitHub or portfolio of previous projects.
- A second interview will be afforded to a short-listed group of potential candidates.
- Reference checks will be run
- Offer extended

What will they be looking for?
Independent workers that use initiative and get on with a task. Strong communication skills, a good attitude, uses logic and enthusiasm.
How to make a good first impression:
Please do not be late. Make sure you have good audio and video during the call.
How long does our interview process usually take, from first call to offer stage?
