Hohm helps homeowners and businesses to go solar with accredited solar providers in their area in just a few clicks. We are evolving the solar purchasing experience for our clients by using scalable technology that seamlessly manages your entire solar journey.

From a technical perspective, Hohm is a multi-tenant platform, solving the needs of the different and growing list of key stakeholders. Each stakeholder has its own unique needs and features, and many of the features have a multi-stakeholder interaction flow, which creates some complexity in the logic. The backend is built in Node.js (Typescript) as an independent API and the frontend is built with Next.js (React / Typescript). We will be dealing with Mobile app development, web-app development, machine-learning, API development, web scraping, marketplaces... not all at once, but each of those is in the pipeline if not already in development or production.

Hohm Energy is driven by a wild dream and vision. Our vision and scope are ambitious. We want to lead the push to drive down the prices of solar and make renewable energy accessible. As the core software engineering team we need to ensure that when the driver pushes the "formula" as hard as they can, we have designed it with sufficient foresight that it can be pushed to those limits and flexible enough to ensure that changes are simple to implement as we learn on the fly.
