About Abangani Media

Abangani Media is a young development company. We focus on both JS frameworks such as AngularJS & ReactJS and on smaller html & WordPress websites. Many of our clients are from overseas, and we are planning to open up a branch in The Netherlands as well once we are more established. It is our aim to create many jobs in South Africa.

Vision

We currently have a team of 6 people, but we'd like to grow to around 20 people in the coming year. Our key values are high quality work, skill development & black empowerment. On the longer run we'd like to launch our own apps and services, which are relevant to SAs people, and we'd like to build our own IT academy. Team work, mentoring & coaching are an integrated part of our working environment.

History

The company was founded in 2015. Back then our founder, Hein van Vlastuin, used to work from home and he focused mainly on smaller WordPress websites. Since then more developers have joined the team and our focused have broadened. Currently we proudly operate from a high office tower in Braamfontein. We are on the 9th floor. We can see Soccer City right from our office.

Hiring process

Our hiring process is quite straight forward. We'll maximum have two meetings and we will only interview 2 or 3 candidates for one position. We'll first have a general conversation and afterwards we'll have another conversation in which we assess your skills.
