Role description

We're seeking a Solution Architect / Pre-Sales Engineer to lead technical sales for the OutSystems platform across Southern Africa. This is a high-impact role at the heart of our enterprise sales motion, where you'll work directly with our sales team to win complex deals from first discovery to signed contract. You'll position yourself as the technical expert in our sales process, combining strong technical skills with exceptional interpersonal and presentation abilities to lead technical discovery, build tailored demos and proof-of-concepts, and own technical responses to RFPs. Your days will be diverse and engaging—one moment you might be delivering high-level pitches of OutSystems technology to CIOs, the next you could be working hands-on to develop proof-of-concepts with support from our delivery team. You'll analyse customer requirements, design compelling technical solutions, present confidently to technical and executive audiences, and shape how OutSystems is positioned and sold in the South African market. You'll also serve as the primary liaison between customers, our Product team, and Support team, and represent ExoSystems as a speaker at events. We're looking for someone with 5-8 years in pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical sales engineering, with a BS/BA in computer science or similar. You'll have knowledge of web or mobile app development, business modelling, database concepts, and preferably Agile methodologies. Hands-on OutSystems experience (O11 or ODC) and certification are strong advantages, along with a proven track record closing enterprise deals with multiple stakeholders. You'll need excellent presentation skills, deep insight into technical architectures, availability to travel, and fluency in English.
