ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of this role is to be the bridge between what a client says they need and what gets built. That includes running the discovery process with the client, documenting client requirements as Epics and Stories, and directing the implementation team through the delivery process. The role works directly with underwriting, claims and product teams to translate real insurance requirements into working systems.
This is not a systems architecture, enterprise architecture or development architecture role, rather a customer facing, solutions focused role, where you will lead the client and Genasys implementation team through the implementation process.
As a senior team member, the role will provide technical guidance and training to the implementation teams and ensure implementations follow the Genasys configuration principles. The role will also support the Sales, Product Management and Client Delivery teams through knowledge of the product or product line by providing presales support, solution planning, product management expertise, and customer support.
WHAT YOU’LL DO IN THIS ROLE
- Act as the technical credibility layer in client conversations.
- Lead requirements workshops with insurance clients, including underwriting, product, operational, claims and technical stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into platform configuration designs, including products, rating, rules, workflow, and documents.
- Write and own Epics and Stories in Jira, providing clear directions for developments to build against without re-litigating the requirement.
- Advise clients on how their processes map to Genasys platform capability, and where they need to adapt vs where we can configure.
- Cover the full delivery lifecycle: product configuration, integrations, data migration, reporting, rules and workflow build.
- Work across insurance personal lines and commercial lines as a core strength, with some exposure to life, medical, or specialty product lines as strong plus.
- Act as the primary technical mentor for the implementation team.
- Support the sales team by producing and presenting proof-of-concept solutions and demonstrations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of experience implementing insurance software (Policy Administration platforms, Claims systems or Core platform vendors).
- Deep working knowledge of insurance personal and commercial lines. How products are structured, rated, and administered.
- Exposure to at least one of the following: integrations, data migration, reporting/BI, rules/workflow engines.
- Track record of running or leading client-facing discovery and requirements gathering workshops.
- Comfortable writing implementation-ready Epics and Stories from workshops, without requiring Business Analyst support or translation.
- Solutions orientated, with the confidence to determine and propose configuration solutions where client requirements and platforming configurability to not immediately align.
- Working familiarity with SQL and Angular/.NET-based platforms (you don't need to build in them, but you understand what's feasible)
ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE OR SKILLS
• Exposure to life, medical or speciality insurance products.
• Experience across multiple insurance markets (UK, SA, or global)
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
