We're building tools that help people think better together, and we need a Frontend Lead to help define what AI-native engineering looks like for our team. You'll join us during an exciting strategic shift as we migrate from React to Nuxt/Vue, rebuilding our frontend with modern architecture and AI-assisted workflows baked in from day one. This isn't just a framework migration—it's an opportunity to establish engineering standards that will scale with us while working closely with our established Ruby on Rails backend. As our Frontend Lead, you'll own the entire frontend ecosystem: driving the migration, setting architectural standards, mentoring teammates, and using AI tools as genuine force multipliers for quality and speed. You'll work directly with our VP of Operations in a flat organization where your technical decisions rapidly translate into company strategy. We expect you to actively shape how AI is used in our engineering workflow—using LLMs, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor as daily instruments for refactoring, debugging, and architecture exploration. Beyond the browser, you'll take operational ownership, understanding how code is built, tested, and deployed, with Kubernetes literacy for debugging production environments. Our product helps people understand how they think and work, and our engineering team embodies those same values: cognitive curiosity, intentional collaboration, and challenging assumptions about how work gets done. This is a high-leverage role where you'll influence product and operational direction far beyond a typical IC position. We're looking for someone who sees AI not as a shortcut, but as a tool that reshapes what great engineering means—someone excited to help answer that question with us. You'll report directly to the VP of Operations and work closely with our Senior Engineering team, building an engineering culture that stays honest about what humans do best and how AI can amplify that work.
