Role description
Senior Data Science Consultant
Role Purpose
The Senior Data Science Consultant is responsible for delivering high-quality analytical and machine learning solutions to clients, working closely with project leads and client stakeholders. This role is hands-on, delivery-focused, and suited to someone who enjoys solving complex problems while growing their consulting influence.
Typical Experience
8+ years applied data science experience
Master’s degree required (PhD advantageous but not mandatory)
Proven experience in at least one domain: FMCG, Finance, or Education
Key Responsibilities
Translate business problems into well-defined data science use cases
Design, build, validate, and deploy statistical and ML models
Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering
Present insights and recommendations to client stakeholders
Contribute to client workshops and solution design sessions
Collaborate with engineers and other consultants on delivery
Support and mentor junior team members on projects
Client Engagement
Regular interaction with client teams and mid-to-senior stakeholders
Supports senior leadership conversations but does not own them end-to-end
Trusted delivery contributor on client engagements
Success Indicators
High-quality, reliable analytical outputs
Clear communication of insights and limitations
Strong delivery performance and stakeholder satisfaction
Growing consulting and leadership capability
