Role description
Stone Three is one of South Africa's leading industrial IoT firms, developing AI-augmented solutions in digital productivity, workplace safety, and employee healthcare. With two decades of deep domain expertise and signal processing experience, we're at the forefront of Industry 4.0. We're looking for a Team Lead: IT to provide strategic oversight and operational excellence for our internal IT environment at our Somerset West Head Office, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. In this role, you'll take full ownership of our internal IT operations, infrastructure, networks, and security. You'll lead and mentor our IT team while ensuring high availability and resilience across all systems. Your responsibilities will span everything from systems administration and disaster recovery planning to vendor management and budget oversight. You'll manage our complete infrastructure including LAN, power systems, and desktop support, serving as the primary escalation point for complex IT matters while working closely with our CTO and business leaders. We're looking for someone with at least 5 years of Linux-based network experience and 3 years of team management experience. You'll bring advanced knowledge of IPv4 networks, database systems, virtualization, and scripting. This is an opportunity to shape the technology backbone of an innovative IoT leader, where your technical leadership will directly enable our business growth and operational efficiency.
