At Pepkor Lifestyle, we're looking for a passionate Data Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in developing and maintaining our data infrastructure. You'll use your expertise in big data and analytics to provide valuable insights across various business topics, conducting both recurring and ad hoc analyses for business users. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure data availability, quality, and accessibility for analysis. In this role, you'll collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes. You'll implement data warehousing solutions, optimize pipelines for performance and scalability, and ensure data quality through validation and cleansing processes. Your work will be instrumental in maintaining our data infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and staying current with emerging technologies and best practices. We're seeking someone with 5-10 years of experience in data warehouse design and development using the Kimball methodology, strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tools, and familiarity with technologies like Redshift and Snowflake. You'll bring excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a customer-centric approach. Experience in Retail, Financial Services, or Logistics environments is highly valued, as is expertise with AWS and cloud data engineering platforms.
