Role description
Join Hepstar, a Cape Town-based TravelTech company, as a BI Developer and lead our BI and analytics solutions. You'll be transforming complex data into actionable insights through data modelling, analysis, and visualisation. As part of our vibrant Product & Engineering Scrum Team, you'll work alongside talented professionals and interact with various stakeholders. In this role, you'll develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, conduct data analysis, drive self-service analytics adoption, and collaborate on data integration. We're looking for someone with strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. You'll also contribute to our technical roadmaps, data strategy, and future machine learning initiatives. We offer a competitive salary of R35k-R40k per month, with remote and hybrid options available. Our Engineering Processes
Our technology is primarily written in Java. Our tech stack consist of API endpoints that our clients integrate with, administrative & reporting portals, an e-commerce website and data engineering infrastructure that forms the basis for our product recommendation engine. We’re a fast-paced agile development environment where we’re continuously building new features to stay ahead of the curve and solve for the most pressing problems our customers are facing. Being in a fast paced environment, we run our sprints in 2-week cycles with deployments happening at the end of each sprint.
