Role description
Join Talbot, a South African water solutions advisor, as a Graduate Data & AI Scientist in our mission to Activate the Transition to Sustainable Water. You'll play a crucial role in our data-driven initiatives, working on cutting-edge projects in the water sector.
Your responsibilities will include engineering data pipelines, developing dashboards, and applying AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics to enhance our solutions, with a focus on advancing our TalbotAnalytics SaaS industrial water optimization tool.
As part of our innovative team, you'll collaborate across departments, driving excellence in data science and AI within the water industry. We're looking for a passionate individual with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and Azure tools, and experience with MS SQL Server and Power BI. Your strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box will be essential in tackling diverse challenges in our dynamic work environment.
We offer a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work remotely with occasional travel to our offices in Pietermaritzburg, Durban, or Johannesburg.
