Role description
Join our team as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and play a crucial role in evolving our Technology and Domain assets. You'll collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and operational SMEs to enhance our reliability service offerings. Your expertise will be instrumental in implementing SRE practices, improving observability, and achieving high availability across our systems.
In this role, you'll lead technical initiatives, coach squads on best practices, and drive the adoption of SRE fundamentals throughout the organization. We're looking for someone who can build strategic relationships, conduct SRE maturity assessments, and implement automated solutions to boost efficiency and performance. You'll work closely with DevOps engineers to optimize CI/CD pipelines and partner with various COEs to improve feature releases.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of IT experience, with 3 years in a relevant technology or domain. You should be proficient in Linux or Windows, microservices, containerization, and programming languages such as C# , Java, Python, or Bash. We offer a dynamic environment where you'll manage multiple projects, make impactful decisions, and contribute to our business strategy while adhering to Nedbank's information management and security policies.
