Role description

What you will do

As a senior DevOps Engineer you will manage the ICT infrastructure and provide a single point of contact for technology support. Some of your responsibilities will include automating configuration management, providing 99.9% uptime for production networks, managing ICT infrastructure and services, developing and monitoring integration middleware and/or other services, routing inbound support requests accurately to product development teams, the platform development team and the DevOps team and deploying new and upgraded instances of products.

We are looking for an individual that is a great team player, has highly developed technical problem-solving skills and has a high level of attention to detail. The ideal individual will be someone who is dependable and dedicated to their work and cares about making a difference in Africa. What you need

6 years’ relevant experience in software development and ICT infrastructure management

Proficient in Linux operating systems

Proficient in relational databases, including database design, writing complex aggregation queries, writing SQL functions, indexing, partitioning, point-in-time-recovery etc.

Proficient in Java, Python, SQL and JavaScript

Proficient knowledge of scrum and Kanban

Our Technology

The Mezzanine helium platform is a centralised mobile and enterprise service environment that enables our clients with the deployment of vertical specific (e.g. health, agriculture, education….) solutions. Once a solution is deployed on the platform authorised users can securely access it via the web (HTML5), a native application on a mobile phone, USSD or SMS.
