Job Description
Job Purpose
Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Strong knowledge of:
- Data structures
- Algorithms
- Enterprise systems
- Asynchronous architectures
- Experience with Web UI application development.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Advanced Microsoft developer certifications.
- Demonstrated experience using Angular or similar frameworks (e.g., React).
- Proficiency in working with Continuous Integration / Continuous Build Environments.
Experience with:
- Distributed applications
- Building and operating highly available systems
Ability to:
- Create and manage REST APIs
- Automate unit test cases
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- TFS
- VSTS
- Git
- Visual Studio
- Solid front-end development skills:
- Bootstrap
- HTML5
- CSS3
- Ability to write code using TypeScript.
- Good knowledge of Angular components, directives, services, and routing.
- Solid understanding of:
- ASP.NET MVC
- Entity Framework
- LINQ
Education
Essential:
- Grade 12 / SAQA Accredited Equivalent.
- A recognised software development certification, degree, or diploma.
Experience
Essential:
- 3 or more years of experience using relevant programming languages or technologies.
Advantageous:
- Azure experience.
