About The Role
The SQL/DB Developer is responsible to design, develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance database solutions for the Genasys Product.
Responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server databases.
- Write optimized stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
- Performance tuning of queries and indexing strategies.
- Troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, and wait statistics.
- Design and optimize ETL processes.
- Implement and maintain data integrity and security.
- Review and improve existing database architecture.
- Assist with data migrations and system upgrades.
- Create and maintain SSRS/PowerBI Reports and SSAS/Semantic Models.
- Work with developers to improve application data performance.
- Create and maintain Technical Documentation.
About You
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, strong performance tuning experience, and the ability to work closely with development, BI, and business teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
You are technically strong, analytical, and comfortable taking ownership of complex database environments.
You are detailed orientated with strong problem-solving skills. You have strong time management and multi-tasking skills. You are able to work independently and efficiently under deadlines. You are a continuous learner and enjoy keeping your technology skills up to date.
You have the following experience:
- At least 3+ years of hands-on SQL Server development experience.
- Experience with with SQL Server 2016+ (2019/2022 advantageous)
- Experience with T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS and PowerBI
- Experience with index optimisation and statistics management
- Experience with advanced query performance tuning
- Understanding of database design and normalisation
