Role description
Join Lesaka as we build the future of financial services in Southern Africa. We're migrating to a modern cloud-based data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and we need an Insights Analyst to transform data into actionable business value. You'll partner with Product, Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Risk teams to solve complex business problems, combining strong analytical skills with commercial thinking and stakeholder engagement to deliver trusted insights that drive decision-making across our organisation. In this role, you'll go beyond dashboard development to define key business metrics, improve data quality and governance, and contribute to the evolution of our cloud analytics ecosystem. You'll analyse large datasets across payments, financial services, and lending to identify trends and opportunities, design interactive dashboards in Power BI, write optimised SQL queries in BigQuery, and collaborate with Data Engineers to build scalable analytical data models. You'll also automate manual reporting processes, promote best practices in data governance, and present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. We're looking for someone who thinks commercially, takes ownership, works comfortably with ambiguity, and focuses on business outcomes rather than simply producing reports. Within your first 6–12 months, you'll become a trusted analytics partner to business stakeholders, significantly improve reporting quality and automation, and directly influence commercial, operational, and strategic decisions through your insights.
