Mission
Own a Sendmarc product area and ship the things that move customer outcomes and business metrics.
Purpose of the role:
To maintain and harden production Linux-based infrastructure across different regions and monitor and automate repairs of said production infrastructure that the business and engineering teams depend on.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing Linux containerised(Kubernetes) infrastructure and databases across multiple regions.
- Managing our databases for performance, integrity, and availability
- Access management and security posture - Identity/permission/secrets management, patching and vulnerability management, continuous hardening.
- CI/CD pipeline ownership - maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines so deployments are safe and repeatable.
- Monitoring, alerting, and observability - instrument systems, set up dashboards and alerts, catch issues before users do.
- System reliability and performance - capacity planning, scaling, uptime/SLA management, cost optimisation.
- Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity - ensure data is backed up and recovery is tested, not assumed.
- Automation of operational toil - script and automate repetitive manual tasks to remove single points of human dependency.
- Documentation and internal support - runbooks, architecture docs, and supporting engineering teams with tooling and environments.
- Incident response and on-call - triage outages, lead resolution, run post-mortems, reduce repeat failures.
Minimum requirements:
- 5+ years as a Dev Ops Engineer or System Administrator for Linux & containerised infrastructure
Beneficial:
- Cyber Security experience, Terraform/OpenTOFU/Terragrunt, Cloudflare, Azure, Active Directory (Entra)

Our Hiring Process
The process is fairly straight forward and relatively informal. After an initial interview with one of the founders, you are required to complete an online technical assessment which can be done in your own time. Following the technical assessment, you will have a discussion with a senior engineer.
