Role description

We're expanding our data engineering capability at Games Global and looking for an Intermediate level Data Engineer to help shape the future of data across our organisation. You'll build the pipelines and models that power analytics, billing, experimentation, AI/ML workloads, and commercial reporting. If you love solving meaningful data challenges and want to work with modern cloud-native platforms alongside passionate engineers, this is the place for you. As a Data Engineer (L2), you'll design, build, and operate production-grade data pipelines that our business relies on every day. Working end-to-end across ingestion, transformation, modelling, and optimisation, you'll build robust ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, dbt, AWS Lambda, and modern orchestration tooling. You'll create clean, reusable data models in Snowflake, implement data quality checks and observability, optimise performance and costs, and collaborate closely with Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, AI/ML Engineers, and Software Engineers to deliver impactful data solutions. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you'll have meaningful ownership over the pipelines and data products you build. We're looking for an engineer who enjoys ownership, solves problems with curiosity, and thrives in collaboration. You'll need 2–5 years' experience in data engineering, strong SQL and Python skills, hands-on experience with dbt, AWS Lambda, and Snowflake, plus familiarity with building pipelines using Terraform, CI/CD, and version control. Experience with orchestration tooling and exposure to analytics, experimentation, or AI/ML workloads is essential.
