Software Delivery Lead
Department: IT and Software Development
Reports To: Software Development Manager
Job Summary
The Software Delivery Lead will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team in the delivery of complex product and system development projects across a variety of products and technologies.
The Software Delivery Lead will manage the successful delivery of products and projects, requiring planning, coordination, and leadership across the full delivery lifecycle. This includes drafting timelines, delegating work, collaborating, and working closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Developers, as well as liaising with key project stakeholders to ensure products are delivered on time while maintaining compliance and quality.
The Software Delivery Lead will also support the performance and career growth of team members through mentoring and coaching.
Job Responsibilities
SDLC Management
Responsible for each phase of the product or project lifecycle, end-to-end, from inception, growth, maturity, to decline.
Where applicable, this includes:

Monitoring
Decommissioning
Align development roadmaps with business, client (internal and external), and technology objectives through collaboration.
Manage issues with appropriate urgency, including resolution and stakeholder communication in conjunction with support and post-deployment processes.
Prioritize and plan backlogs, demand pipelines, and product roadmaps.
Define, track, and measure product business benefit realization where appropriate.
Maintain a strong technical understanding and in-depth product knowledge, including broader group products and systems.
Strategic Mindset
Align objectives and activities to the broader strategic goals of the team and BET Software.
Foster a customer-centric culture by creating and promoting a customer-oriented attitude within the team.
Identify and understand customer needs while managing expectations effectively.
Facilitate competitor analysis and market research to identify opportunities and risks associated with products.
Collaborate with other product teams to achieve shared objectives.
Provide consistent, clear, and regular communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Integrate team and departmental processes effectively with company-wide processes and procedures.
Team Management
Lead direct and indirect reports to ensure successful product management.
Ensure cross-functional teams are aligned with company strategy and objectives.
Ensure teams are appropriately resourced and possess the skills required for current and future projects.
Support and develop training and career development plans for team members.
Collaborate with team members to establish performance goals and success measures.
Conduct regular performance discussions to encourage growth and development.
Facilitate mentoring and coaching where required.
Oversee all aspects of team operations through effective problem-solving and communication.
Maintain current and future skills matrices for the team.
Create a culture aligned with platform goals and BET Software values.

Job Specification
Experience
Minimum of 10 years' experience in a technical role within the IT industry.
Minimum of 3–5 years' experience leading or managing cross-functional software development teams.
Experience facilitating timely product and project delivery.
Detailed knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and software project management.
Skills & Competencies
