The Role

We are a funded startup building cutting-edge AI SaaS tools for the automotive and banking sectors. As one of our first engineering hires, you will not just be a “coder”; you will be a Technical Owner.

This is a full-stack engineering role with a strong backend and cybersecurity focus. You will help build customer-facing product experiences, but your primary ownership will sit around our backend systems, platform architecture, security posture, data protection, infrastructure reliability, and compliance readiness.

You will work across the stack, from frontend product implementation through to database architecture, authentication, APIs, Edge Functions, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and secure engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Based on our current roadmap, you will take ownership of the following domains:

Full-Stack Product Development: Build and maintain high-quality product features across the frontend and backend, working with modern web technologies, APIs, authentication flows, data models, and AI-powered functionality.

Backend Platform Ownership: Act as the primary owner for Supabase, including PostgreSQL database architecture, Auth, Edge Functions, APIs, deployments, migrations, backend performance, and data integrity.

Security & Cybersecurity Ownership: Maintain a strong security posture across the platform, with particular focus on access control, authentication, authorization, data protection, auditability, vulnerability management, secure development practices, and security reviews for banking and automotive clients.

Infrastructure & Scalability: Design and maintain robust, scalable backend infrastructure using AWS services, serverless architecture, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and modern DevOps practices.

Frontend Integration: Work closely with the product and design layer to ensure frontend experiences are reliable, performant, secure, and well-integrated with backend systems, APIs, authentication, and data flows.

Development Ecosystem: Own and improve our engineering workflow across GitHub, Claude Code, CodeRabbit, and related development tools to ensure secure, efficient, and high-quality delivery.

Technical Support & Monitoring: Oversee system health, uptime monitoring, logging, incident response, bug resolution, and technical support workflows to ensure a seamless user experience.

Secure Backend Development: Build and maintain secure, high-performance backend services using TypeScript, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Auth, APIs, Edge Functions, and serverless infrastructure.

Your Technical Toolkit

Full-Stack Engineering: Strong experience building production-grade web applications across frontend, backend, APIs, authentication, and data-driven product features.

Backend & Data: Strong experience with TypeScript, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Auth, APIs, Edge Functions, database architecture, migrations, and backend performance optimization.

Cybersecurity & Secure Engineering: Practical experience with secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, access control, data protection, audit logging, vulnerability management, dependency scanning, secrets management, and security reviews.

Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS services, serverless architecture, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, incident response, and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Databases: Strong understanding of relational database design, SQL, migrations, indexing, performance tuning, data integrity, and row-level security.

Frontend: Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, component-based development, API integration, authentication flows, and building clean, reliable user experiences.

Tools: Comfort with GitHub, AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, CodeRabbit and modern engineering workflows.
