Role description
We are seeking a talented Java Developer to join our team and take ownership of building and supporting critical applications. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and developing application layers while coordinating seamlessly with team members working across different infrastructure components. Your commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and delivering quality products will be essential to your success with us. Your responsibilities will span the full development lifecycle. You'll translate business requirements into technical designs that prioritize performance, security, and scalability, then construct robust and maintainable code following our standards. You'll conduct thorough unit testing, collaborate with our Business Analysts on test scenarios, and provide technical support to system users. We value mentorship highly, so you'll have opportunities to coach other developers, perform code reviews, and help elevate our team's technical capabilities. Your ability to analyze root causes of system issues and find effective solutions will be crucial to our continued success. We're looking for someone with strong expertise in Java (Java 7 or later), Java EE, and application servers like JBoss or Weblogic. You should be comfortable with data layers (JPA, ORM frameworks, Oracle/PL-SQL), integration services (REST/SOAP, Apache Camel, JMS), and modern presentation technologies (JSF, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery). Experience with design patterns, SDLC methodologies, Git version control, and build tools like Maven and Jenkins will serve you well.
