Role description

Mission

Own a Sendmarc product area and ship the things that move customer outcomes and business metrics.

Outcomes

What the world looks like in 12 months if the right person is in this role:

  • You own the success or failure of the product. You live and breathe what customers need, the bets required to solve their problems, and how we package solutions so everyone wins.
  • The roadmap for your product area is published, tied to company OKRs, and up to date with explicit trade-offs and supporting evidence.
  • Every major feature ships with a defined success metric. Post-launch decisions (scale, iterate, kill) are made within 90 days based on data, not opinion.
  • At least one product bet per year delivers a measurable lift on a named business metric (ARR, retention, partner activation, deliverability score, time-to-DMARC-enforcement, etc.).
  • Customer feedback is continuously ingested and triaged.
  • You have a great relationship with the rest of the business (CS, GTM, AM). They feel considered by Product and understand what your team is focusing on and why.

Skills required to deliver the outcomes:

  • Ownership. Takes responsibility for outcomes. Proactively acts and doesn't wait on others.
  • Strategy and roadmapping. Defines a product vision, makes trade-offs, can explain why a thing got cut without flinching.
  • Backlog management. Maintains a clear, prioritised list of tasks that are ready to be actioned.
  • Data fluency. Comfortable with identifying what data is needed, analysing it and drawing out insights.
  • Communication. Writes clear PRDs, strategic decision docs, and post-launch reviews and even Slack messages. Creates order from chaos.
  • Engineering collaboration. Respected by engineers. Technical enough to challenge estimates and trade off scope intelligently.
  • Stakeholder management. Aligns sales, partner, marketing, support, and leadership without being captured by any single one of them.

This email is usually impersonating a well known brand to obtain user credentials or distribute a fake invoice. We build tools to help companies prevent their name from being used in email phishing and impersonation attacks.

Our Hiring Process

The process is fairly straight forward and relatively informal. After an initial interview with one of the founders, you are required to complete an online technical assessment which can be done in your own time. Following the technical assessment, you will have a discussion with a senior engineer.
