Role description
Join Mukuru as a Senior DevOps Engineer where you'll play a pivotal hands-on role in building and continuously improving our cloud platforms and delivery pipelines. You'll be part of our Technology Solutions function, collaborating closely with the Cloud Infrastructure Manager, Cloud Architect, and cross-functional teams including Software Engineering, Architecture, and Security. This is your opportunity to make a real impact in a regulated fintech environment where reliability, security, and innovation matter. In this role, you'll build and operate cloud infrastructure across all environments, implementing infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation that enable our engineering teams to deliver safely and efficiently. You'll drive observability through monitoring and alerting improvements, support disaster recovery mechanisms, and apply DevSecOps practices to keep our platforms secure and compliant. Working in an agile environment, you'll research new technologies, reduce friction between development and operations, and take ownership of incident response and continuous improvement initiatives. We're looking for someone with 7+ years of DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure experience, strong AWS expertise, and solid Linux administration skills in production environments. You'll bring hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD tools like GitLab CI and GitHub Actions, and monitoring solutions including Prometheus and Grafana. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, excel at problem-solving and collaboration, and are passionate about your own professional development. Our Hiring Process
We a close-knit bunch so we place a lot of emphasis in the hiring process as we grow our family.
- You will firstly have an interview with the Team Lead, Development Manager or HR - we are down-to-earth, honest, all-in-it-together kind of people so have the first meeting is about getting to know each other seeing if we are a good fit for you and you for us
- We will give a short technical assignment to do in your own time - we are not the push a deadline kind of company but it is about giving it your everything in what you do. We tend to be able to move quite quickly in our process so completing the technical assessment as quickly as you can help to make the process even less of time hassle and we actually give you feedback on how you did - we take our world-class service seriously even our promises to each other as a team
