About TappiPay
What we do
TappiPay is a fintech startup building a payments product currently in its MVP phase, with a planned go-live in mid-July 2026. The business focuses on enabling seamless payment solutions through integrations with external providers and platforms.
The company operates with a lean internal team and an external development partner, requiring strong alignment between business and technical execution. Post-launch, the product roadmap includes additional features such as loyalty programmes, new integrations, and continuous product enhancements.
TappiPay is founded by an experienced entrepreneur with a strong track record in the payments and remittance space, including scaling and exiting businesses such as Ria Money Transfer.
Why Work For Us
- Opportunity to own a product end-to-end from pre-launch through to scale
- Work directly with an experienced, proven founder and leadership team
- Be part of a high-growth startup with strong financial backing and industry credibility
- Gain exposure to fintech, payments, and integrations in a real-world environment
- Ability to make a visible, tangible impact on the business and product direction
- Flexibility in working style, with trust-based output expectations
Our Culture
TappiPay is a startup environment that values ownership, initiative, and adaptability. Team members are expected to go beyond defined roles and contribute to the broader success of the business.
- Entrepreneurial mindset – proactive, solution-oriented thinking is key
- High ownership – individuals are expected to treat the product as their own
- Flexible but accountable – output matters more than hours, but commitment is expected when it counts
- Collaborative – constant interaction between business, developers, and external partners
- In-person connection (early stage) – the team values being together initially to build culture, trust, and alignment
This is best suited to someone from a startup or fast-moving environment, rather than a traditional corporate structure.
Our Engineering Processes
TappiPay works with an external development team, meaning internal roles focus on product ownership, coordination, and alignment rather than hands-on coding.
- Regular twice-weekly product and dev syncs
- Ongoing asynchronous communication via Slack
- Continuous back-and-forth between business, developers, and integration partners
- Focus on translating business requirements into technical execution
- Managing APIs, integrations, and external providers (e.g. payments partners)
- Iterative delivery model: launch MVP → prioritise features → continuous improvements
The environment requires someone comfortable operating between business and tech, rather than deep technical execution.
