Role description
D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant – Full Remote
Fully remote, Dubai timezone +/- 2h | 6-month contract | 6+ years experience
The problem you are solving
- The ERP is live with a Procure-to-Pay process implemented. The current implementation has gaps and known issues that need to be resolved.
- Some of the P2P modules are configured but not yet active and need to be completed.
- Once gaps are bridged and issues resolved, the role moves into configuring additional modules. There’s plenty to do.
The modules that actually matter
- Procure-to-Pay is the primary scope. If this is not where your depth sits, this is not the right role for you.
- Project Operations is actively in use and will require ongoing support.
- Experience with sales, warehouse management, and third-party integrations is required later on. Relevant experience is a plus, but not a requirement from day one.
- All of this sits on top of Core Finance
Ideal candidate background
- Enough accounting foundation to work with finance and procurement teams without needing every decision handed to you.
- Proven experience in a live D365 environment, diagnosing and resolving real system issues alongside stakeholders.
- 6+ years hands-on D365 F&O experience with demonstrable depth in Core Finance, Project Operations, and P2P. Actual configuration ownership, not project management.
- Familiarity with multi-legal entity setup. No full mastery is required.

Required skills, in order of importance
- Clear written and spoken English.
- Experience with period-end closing (in the context of accounting and ERP).
- Consulting mindset. Building consensus with stakeholders is the core of the job. Dialing in the right configurations is the easy part.
- Hands-on P2P configuration experience in D365 F&O in an organisation of around 300 people.
- Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and LCS
