Role description
Lead Business Systems Analyst
Function: Business Systems
Department: IT
Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering (a must have), Information Systems, or related field
- Management experience
- Responsible for establishing the BSA function in the department and business as well as do BSA work
- Professional Business Analysis, Product, or Delivery Certification (CBAP, AAC, CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) advantageous
- Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, and hybrid delivery methodologies
- At least 6years’ experience as a Business or Systems Analyst in a complex enterprise IT environment
- Proven experience leading analysis across large-scale, multi-system initiatives
- Demonstrated experience managing or leading a team of Business Analysts
- Advanced expertise in requirements elicitation, solution design, business process modelling, and systems integration
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture concepts and cross-platform dependencies
- Advanced proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and related tooling
- Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong decision-making capability in complex and ambiguous environments

Brief Description of Key Performance Areas
- All multi-system initiatives adhere to approved analysis standards and templates. Single system initiatives adhere to analysis standards where applicable.
- Requirements signed off by business and technical stakeholders before development commences.
- Less than 10 percent rework required due to unclear or incomplete requirements (based on defects logged due to missing requirements or incorrectly scoped).
- Development clarifications due to requirement gaps reduced quarter-on-quarter.
- Improved capability, confidence, and quality of analyst outputs. Positive performance feedback received.
- Minimum of two measurable process or system improvements delivered per year.
