FarmLink Capital is building an advanced profiling system to assess farmers across South Africa, and we need you to help us build the data pipelines, APIs, and scoring models that power this system. As our Junior Data Engineer, you'll work closely with technical and product leads to create scalable data infrastructure that integrates on-farm data, APIs, satellite imagery, public datasets, and geospatial intelligence. You'll be building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines, supporting our modular scoring engine, and designing PostgreSQL/PostGIS schemas for agronomic, financial, and geospatial data. We're looking for someone with strong Python skills and basic SQL experience who's comfortable working with APIs, flat files, and ideally has some exposure to geospatial data. You'll contribute to our GitHub repositories, participate in sprint reviews, and collaborate with analysts, field agents, and product leads to ensure usable outputs. This is a remote position based in South Africa, offering R20,000–R30,000/month CTC for a 6–12 month contract with potential for extension or conversion.
