Role description
We're building an AI-First Engineering Team to tackle complex, greenfield projects—this isn't about maintenance. You'll join a team that's obsessed with leveraging AI to accelerate processes, enhance code quality, and solve problems faster than ever before. If you're a .NET expert who has already integrated Agentic AI, MCPs, and GitHub Copilot into your daily workflow, this opportunity is for you. You'll design and build scalable backend services using C# and .NET Core while utilizing AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Visual Studio AI daily. Your work will involve building custom AI agents using Agentic AI patterns and Model Context Protocol, crafting precise prompt chains for deterministic AI behavior, and integrating LLMs into .NET ecosystems using frameworks like Semantic Kernel or LangChain.NET. You'll also review AI-generated code for security, performance, and accuracy. We're looking for proactive problem solvers who prefer automating solutions over manual coding. You'll need 5+ years of C# / .NET Core backend development experience, demonstrable daily use of AI coding assistants, and a strong understanding of Agentic Workflows, RAG, and MCP. This hybrid role is based in Cape Town, Johannesburg, or Port Elizabeth and requires South African citizenship.
