Join Asseti and architect the data backbone of a cutting-edge asset intelligence platform. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll own the full data lifecycle - from an event-sourced PostgreSQL system spanning four global regions, through ML and photogrammetry pipeline outputs, to a BigQuery analytics layer serving business intelligence. You'll design scalable data architectures for derived geospatial datasets - pavement condition scores, crack detection results, site health rollups - and build the infrastructure to handle order-of-magnitude growth as we expand our ML model catalogue and customer base.

We're looking for someone with 8+ years of experience building and scaling data infrastructure in production. You should have deep expertise in PostgreSQL (partitioning, materialized views, query optimization), strong experience with cloud data warehousing (BigQuery or similar), and hands-on skills with CDC replication, ETL pipeline design, and data quality frameworks. Experience with event-sourced architectures, geospatial data (PostGIS, coordinate systems, GeoTIFF), or multi-region database topologies is highly valued.

Our data stack includes Aurora PostgreSQL with Global Database replication across four AWS regions, PostGIS for spatial queries, BigQuery with Datastream CDC, S3 multi-region storage for terabytes of geospatial imagery, InfluxDB for time-series metrics, and OpenSearch for log analytics. You'll own data pipeline reliability end-to-end - from event consistency and materialized view performance to analytics freshness and storage cost optimization.
