Role description
We're seeking a .Net Developer with a specialized focus on software obsolescence and migration. This role goes beyond traditional development—you'll be our strategic partner in assessing legacy systems, planning critical transitions, and managing risks associated with outdated technologies. Your expertise will be essential in navigating complex infrastructure interdependencies and ensuring seamless migrations across our technology landscape. You'll bring 5+ years of IT infrastructure or systems administration experience, with hands-on expertise in server OS upgrades, decommissions, and application migrations. Your technical toolkit includes deep knowledge of Windows Server environments (2008/2012/2016/2019+), IIS, SQL Server, .NET, C# , SSIS, and SSRS. You'll thrive in our governed environment, applying your understanding of compliance, risk mitigation, and internal audit principles. Experience with low-code platforms like ActiveBatch and scripting capabilities in PowerShell will set you apart. We value professionals who can work independently, maintain meticulous documentation, and think strategically about long-term planning. Your ability to map complex interdependencies across infrastructure, applications, and business processes will be crucial to our success. If you have a background in highly regulated sectors like finance or insurance and proven experience with migration planning and strategies, you'll find this role both challenging and rewarding as you help us modernize our technology foundation.
