Freightdog is a dutch company which turns messy logistics emails and attachments (PDFs, scans, spreadsheets, “creative” forwarding chains) into clean, structured data.

That only works if the recognition pipeline is ruthlessly tested, failures are explained, and the LLM prompting layer is continuously improved.

And so we are looking for a person who can help us with the test strategy, regressions, automations and bug triages.

Our system automatically processes incoming emails and documents: it classifies them, extracts key details into structured data, and then uses that data to trigger actions, from routing information to the right place to replying to customers or generating the answers they need.

Your daily tasks will be to

• Build and maintain a pragmatic QA strategy for a fast-moving product.

• Create high-signal test cases for real customer documents: edge cases, weird formats, multilingual content, partial data, missing pages, etc.

• Design & run regressions which allow to release often, and to stop bad releases with confidence.

• Add and maintain automated tests across critical flows (API + UI where it matters).

• Improve bug reporting quality: clear steps to reproduce, expected vs actual, sample inputs, and likely root cause hypotheses, digging logs by yourself.

You’re a strong fit if you have

• Excellent professional English and client-facing communication: ****clearly explain complex issues to engineers and clients, write crisp QA/investigation artifacts, and confidently drive calls with sharp clarifying questions toward resolution.

• Senior QA experience and you enjoy finding the real root cause.

• Comfortable working in the terminal with CLI tools, APIs, JSON payloads, and logs, and you naturally optimize your own workflow with scripts/automations and a frankly suspicious number of hotkeys.

• Experience creating test strategies for fast-changing systems, actually sticking to them in practice, and getting the team to adopt and follow them too.

• Curiosity and practicality about LLMs (you already use them daily, or you’ll ramp up fast and prove it).

• Able to work autonomously end-to-end, while proactively looping in the team, asking the right questions early, and escalating issues before they turn into surprises.

Nice-to-haves (not deal-breakers)

• Experience testing document pipelines (OCR, PDF parsing, email ingestion, extraction workflows).

• Familiarity with logistics docs (B/L, booking requests, customs docs, packing lists, invoices, etc.).

• SQL basics for sanity checks and debugging.

Bonus points if you already have experience with these — be sure to mention it when applying.
