Role description
Join Purple Group, a leading South African fintech company, as our Platform Operations Manager. In this senior leadership role, you'll lead our platform stability, reliability, and operational excellence initiatives across our fintech ecosystem. Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll build and lead a team of platform engineers focused on observability, incident management, and continuous improvement. You'll own the operational health of our multi-platform infrastructure, driving 99.9%+ uptime, implementing best practices, and creating a culture of operational excellence. Key responsibilities include platform reliability and performance, incident management, application support, team leadership, and strategic initiatives. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for platform stability matters with executive leadership and stakeholders. We're looking for a seasoned professional with 10+ years in platform engineering or operations, experience managing high-availability platforms, and a track record of building high-performing teams.
