Role description
Join Wingman System, a cutting-edge aviation SaaS startup, as our technical anchor. You'll lead full-stack development for our platform that's revolutionizing non-scheduled aviation operations across Africa and beyond. Working directly with our founder and optimization specialist, you'll tackle complex scheduling challenges and integrate our proprietary optimization engine. You'll own the entire technical stack, from Blazor UI and C# APIs to SQL optimization and Azure infrastructure. Our tech stack includes .NET 8, Blazor Server, MS SQL Server, and Azure services. We're solving real operational problems with tangible impact, offering you the chance to work on gnarly domain logic that makes most SaaS look trivial. We offer a remote-first, outcome-focused environment with direct access to leadership and significant growth potential. You'll enjoy a competitive salary, ownership in product direction, and the opportunity to learn about mathematical optimization and aviation operations. Join our small, smart team and make a real difference in operational efficiency for airlines.

About Wingman System
Wingman System - Company Profile Wingman System is an end-to-end SaaS platform purpose-built for non-scheduled airline operations - charter, safari aviation, medevac, cargo, and seaplane operators. Founded by Neil, who built and operated Wilderness Air from a single Cessna 206 to 50 aircraft over 20 years (1991-2011), Wingman solves the operational chaos that plagues non-scheduled aviation. Most operators cobble together fragmented systems designed for scheduled airlines - forcing square pegs into round holes. Wingman integrates reservations, intelligent scheduling, flight operations, crew management, maintenance tracking, invoicing, and communications into a single platform. Our breakthrough is proprietary optimization technology that solves complex multi-aircraft scheduling problems in under 60 seconds, delivering 10-24% reductions in direct operating costs compared to manual scheduling. After two years in production with Safari Air as our launch customer, we're expanding across Southern and East Africa, targeting the Maldives seaplane market, and building toward sustainable growth. Our team is small, distributed, and technically focused - solving genuinely hard problems in a domain that demands it. We're not venture-backed unicorn chasers. We're building a real business solving real operational pain for an underserved market that desperately needs better software.
